SPACEHAB's standard commercial pricing model
is based upon cost per kilogram for both research and cargo
requirements. Additionally, we are able to provide volume
pricing for partial or complete utilization of our module
or pallet as opportunities arise. Specifically for your experiment
needs, chargeable mass is developed by SPACEHAB and is comprised
of the actual experiment mass and the mass of selected hardware
required for integrating and supporting the experiment during
flight. Details of the experiment's chargeable mass are presented
to the customer as part of the contracting process.
But SPACEHAB's
access to flight hardware doesn't
stop with its modules and carriers. We own or have access
to unique, flight-qualified hardware including refrigerator/freezer
units, protein crystal growth apparatuses, and plant growth
chambers to meet additional experiment needs. For experiments
requiring exposure to the space environment, SPACEHAB offers
the QuEST system for mounting unpressurized small payloads
externally on the module rooftop or on the Integrated Cargo
Carrier.
