SPACEHAB RECEIVES 100% SCORE ON RECERTIFICATION

Metrics Evaluations Deemed "Flawless"
Houston, Texas, November 6, 2007 – SPACEHAB, Incorporated (NASDAQ: SPAB), a leading provider of commercial space services, announced today the completion and perfect scoring on its ISO9001/AS9100 recertification audit.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is aimed at encouraging the development of standardization and facilitating global trade. Its standards establish specifications that are intended to ensure that materials, procedures, processes, and services meet customer needs. The AS9100 designation adds explicit requirements that are specific to the aerospace sector. Eligible companies would include those which build aircraft, spacecraft or related parts and assemblies.
These evaluations are conducted annually for assessment and every three years for recertification. The standards are in place in order for suppliers to demonstrate their process control capabilities to external parties, which ultimately determines the acceptability of the products and/or services being supplied. Alan Smith of WCS Registrars completed SPACEHAB's entire cycle including its payload processing operations in Cape Canaveral, Florida and its Astrotech Space Operations facility in Titusville, Florida. The final score of 100% positions SPACEHAB for recommendation to receive the Certificate of Registration based on the Company's positive results and actions. "I feel better about the direction and content of SPACEHAB's Quality Management System than ever before," said Smith. "The Company has really demonstrated strong direction and initiative, and the flawless score reflects that."
