SPACEHAB CONTINUES EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE ON NASA CONTRACT
Team Receives Top Scoring for Support to International Space Station Program

Houston, Texas, May 29, 2007 - SPACEHAB, Incorporated (NASDAQ/NMS: SPAB), a leading provider of commercial space services, announced today that NASA's Performance Evaluation Board (PEB) granted a 99% award fee evaluation score on the Program Integration and Control (PI&C) contract team for support and services provided during the period of October 2006 through March 2007.

SPACEHAB began work on the International Space Station PI&C contract in November 2003 as a subcontractor to the ARES Corporation.   Specifically, SPACEHAB provides configuration and data management services, supporting the final acceptance of space station hardware and software for NASA and the sixteen international partners. The areas in which the Evaluation Board noted outstanding performance included cost control, technical management, and customer satisfaction. The PEB cited numerous strengths in the report including "The contractor demonstrated outstanding cost management... numerous technical capabilities by providing efficiencies and process improvements... outstanding technical leadership... and continues to demonstrate dynamic initiative and tenacity." No weaknesses were identified in the report.

"This score reflects the strength of the SPACEHAB, ARES, Booz Allen Hamilton and MRE teams," stated Rick Fitts Vice President, SPACEHAB Government Services. "It is the sixth time the PI&C team has scored 91 percent or higher, including a rarely awarded perfect   100% score during a past award fee period.   SPACEHAB's strong history of performance under this contract, and continued exemplary scores, further demonstrates our ability to provide exceptional services NASA, other government, and commercial customers."
