October 21, 2004 - MEDIA ADVISORY SPACEHAB QUADRUPLES NUMBER OF TEAM WALKERS AT THE Many of Houston's Gulf Coast Area companies, their families, and friends spent last Sunday morning blazing a trail in benefit of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). Participating for the sixth straight year, SPACEHAB, a premier provider of commercial space services, was led by Walk Team Captain, Linda Finkle , who gave new meaning to the phrase 'setting the bar high'. Not only did the SPACEHAB Walk Team bring in triple the amount raised for JDRF from previous years, but the number of registered walkers quadrupled from 2003. All initial estimates indicate that the SPACEHAB 90-walker team brought in
approximately $6,500 for the foundation, who for the first time announced this
year that a cure for diabetes will be found. Also marking another SPACEHAB
milestone was its first place prize SPACEHAB, Incorporated ( www.spacehab.com ) is a leading provider of commercial and government space services with three primary business units.
