SPACEHAB Partners with Applied Structural Dynamics Houston, Texas, May 13, 2004 - SPACEHAB, Incorporated (NASDAQ/NMS: SPAB), a leading provider of commercial space services, today announced that the Company has officially signed an exclusive marketing and rights agreement with Applied Structural Dynamics (ASD), world class experts in the field of structural dynamics. The partnership allows for the two companies, both headquartered in Houston, Texas, to jointly sell structural dynamics services to various customers including the International Space Station (ISS) and Space Shuttle Programs as well as to the Expendable Launch Vehicle (ELV) market. These ASD services employ breakthrough methodologies and ASD's revolutionary analysis software package, Enigma, for structural dynamics analyses, system design, testing, and risk analysis for NASA, the ELV market, and a variety of aerospace corporations. The two companies previously collaborated during the development of SPACEHAB's Integrated Cargo Carrier, an un-pressurized cargo carrying pallet system that rides in the payload bay of the space shuttle. SPACEHAB and ASD will continue to partner for potential applications to NASA's Space Exploration Initiatives such as SPACEHAB's development of the Company's new pressurized and un-pressurized cargo carriers for ELV's, future launch vehicles, and ISS-based on-orbit applications.
