HOUSTON, TX — July 20, 2002 marks the 33rd anniversary of the historic Apollo 11 moon landing. In honor of that historic occasion, The Space Store will be offering free Moon Pies to all customers in the store on that day. The Space Store will be open that day from 10am to 5pm.

A moon landing, a Moon Pie and...a moon floor! The Space Store features a unique original piece of artwork by artist Richard Mays - the surface of the moon, craters, astronaut footsteps and all, painted on the floor of the out-of-this-world retail establishment. "What better way to honor Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin than by following in their footsteps on the surface of the moon!" said The Space Store President Dayna Steele-Justiz.

The Space Store began as a hobby in May of 1997 for then Houston rock and roll disc jockey, Steele-Justiz.
