bids farewell to former President Richard Jacobson
The
SPACEHAB family expresses their heartfelt condolences to the family of
former SPACEHAB President, Richard K. (Jake) Jacobson. Jacobson passed
away the morning of May 16, 2001 after a long courageous battle with Leukemia.
SPACEHAB President from February 1987 to September 1991 and member of
the Board of Directors for several years, Jake was heralded for his efforts
in securing the financing needs of the growing company and building the
strong management team that positioned SPACEHAB for its future success
and leadership in the commercial aerospace arena. A former Air Force Colonel,
Jake had a stellar career in aerospace reaching back to the late 1940’s.
