THE SPACE STORE™ PARTNERS WITH SPACE.COM
TO INCREASE ONLINE TRAFFIC AND BOOST REVENUES

October 31, 2001, Washington, D.C. - SPACEHAB, Inc. (NASDAQ/NMS: SPAB), a leading provider of commercial space services, today announced that The Space Store™, the online retail operation of its majority-owned subsidiary Space Media, Inc., has formed a partnership with SPACE.com of New York, N.Y., to facilitate highly targeted customer traffic between each other's World Wide Web sites.

The Space Store (www.thespacestore.com) is an online retail business that offers hundreds of space-related items for sale. Multimedia company SPACE.com (www.space.com) reports that its Web site receives 20 million page views per month. Under their new partnership agreement, SPACE.com features a link to The Space Store on its main navigation bar, and The Space Store features an equally prominent link to SPACE.com on its home page.

"We're all really excited about this collaboration," said Dayna Justiz, President of The Space Store. "We've seen an immediate rise in sales since the partnership became active earlier this month." Justiz predicted that, with this partnership in place, sales for The Space Store could double over the upcoming holiday season.
