For Immediate Release: SPACEHAB NAMES RYAN DIRECTOR, GOVERNMENT RELATIONS Vienna, VA, July 13, 1998 — SPACEHAB, Inc. (NASDAQ: SPAB), the leading commercial space services company supporting manned and unmanned missions, announces the appointment Maureen E. Ryan as Director, Government Relations. Ryan, who reports to Michael E. Kearney, SPACEHAB Vice President for Marketing and Sales, assumes primary responsibility for the company's communication with Congress and other policy-making entities. Ryan joins SPACEHAB following several years as a government relations director with Smith, Bucklin & Associates in Washington, DC. Her areas of policy expertise include NASA and commercial space, with particular emphasis on human space flight and the International Space Station. SPACEHAB President David A. Rossi announced Ryan's appointment with enthusiasm July 13.
