The GSA schedule facilitates work to be performed through any one of the three companies that make up SPACEHAB, Inc.: SPACEHAB Flight Services, SPACEHAB Government Services, and Astrotech Space Operations.

SPACEHAB’s GSA PES schedule provides for services to be performed under both the electrical and mechanical Primary Engineering Disciplines (PEDs) and includes multiple associated subdisciplines or specialties. The schedule provides for services that span the engineering lifecycle, as represented by six Special Item Numbers (SINs) in the contract:

871-1 – Strategic Planning for Technology Programs/Activities
871-2 – Concept Development and Requirements Analysis
871-3 – System Design, Engineering, and Integration
871-4 – Test and Evaluation
871-5 – Integrated Logistics Support
871-6 – Acquisition and Life Cycle Management

These SINs are in a phased format, each representing a major lifecycle portion of an engineering project.
