Brian N. Harris brings more than two decades
of aerospace industry experience to the SPACEHAB executive
team. With
a strong background in new market development, Mr. Harris'
primary responsibilities are to identify and implement new
initiatives and partnerships. As SPACEHAB's Vice President
of Business Development, he oversees the Company's sales
growth endeavors.
Most recently, Mr. Harris was employed
with Marotta Controls, Inc., an aerospace fluids manufacturer,
as its Aerospace Systems Group Senior Director. He
was integral in leading Marotta in developing technologies
from concept to market implementation. Additionally,
he managed activities to identify emerging target opportunities
and developed technical proposals for business growth of
space systems components. Mr.
Harris' extensive aerospace portfolio also includes directing
the project management efforts at United Space Alliance where
he served as Deputy Program Manager for Space Station. He
has also acted as Project Manager of Space Shuttle Management
and Operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center managing space
shuttle ground operations efforts. Mr. Harris has
also teamed with Lockheed Martin to lead their core of engineers
in a test program that was critical to the Space Shuttle
fleet's return to flight following the Challenger accident
in 1986.
Mr. Harris earned a Master of Arts in Information
Systems and Computer Resource Management from Webster University
in Missouri, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Ocean Engineering
from the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida.
